Overheating. (urgent)

So Brody has been home for a week tommorow, and hasn't eat anything and barely comes out of his hide (never). I did a couple checks of temp at around 7 and it was about 93 which was a little hot so I turned the AC in the house up. I came back upstairs and had an epiphany, it could have been up to 110 in that tank during the day, or now that i think about it even higher D:, now I am freaking out cuz in the same room I have my bearded dragon which has a 100w basking bulb! So, i have no idea how hot it could have been in that tank?! so immediately when I came back up stairs earlier, turned off the UTH and misted Brody and he seems much happier now.

Either way the situation is fixed but I had a 50w in the beardies tank most the week so it couldn't have been more then 100 degrees in the geckos tank, but I bumped the light to a 100w because It was a lil chilly in the beardies tank.

Never the less enough blabbering my question is, can overheating do permanent damage to a leopard gecko? I'm worry'd that iv harmed him long term. I will wait to see how he reacts tomorrow when he's at a good temp. But I'm just soo worried that I may have hurt him long term. :(( help

I'm noticing his limbs are a little shaky when he walks, what does this mean? please help. I'm not home during the day so I would have never noticed the temperature till now.

Are you talking about 110 on the floor or the air temp? If you mean the floor, your gecko could have moved to the cool side. There have been some reports of geckos who were tremendously overheated having acute MBD-like symptoms. If you do a search for MBD you may find that post which was a couple of years ago. Otherwise, it's not unusual for a new gecko to hide a lot and not eat sometimes for weeks so it could have been just that.

he seems to be doing fine, but he is still hiding and not eating. its been a week today.

Don't be alarmed.he might not eat for a while till he gets used to his enclosure.I've had leos not eat for 2-3 weeks.just make sure its temps on the warn end surface is between 90-95 Deg
