Overweight?

Last night when I went to feed my geckos, I noticed that Spice (that's her name) has developed pockets behind her front arms. :main_huh: Are they pockets of fat? Is she overweight? She isn't lazy or sluggish... but she likes to eat!!! Mostly mealworms and some dubia roaches. Her tail is as thick as she is.
If it is not fat pockets, do you have any idea what they might be? The pocket on her right side is a bit larger than the one on the left side.
Here is a picture that will hopefully help.

So the calcium pockets are a good thing?
I was thinking that she needed to go on a diet or run on one of those Hamster wheels.

Thanks,

Okay, I did some research on the net about the 'fat pockets'... so it's something to worry about.
Does anyone else have leo's with fat pockets?

Yea they're nothing to worry about. One of my males has them and my female had them before breeding season started. Neither of them had problems with them, they're just lil fatties :D

Thanks. I'm just suprised that she has fat pockets already, because she is only 4 1/2 months old.

Shes too fat. That can not be healthy. In germany we says, when a gecko have this fat pockets he have problems whith his wheigt. When a human are to fat everybody knows that he became problems whith his health. And when a 4 month old gecko looks so, everybody says everything is ok...nothing is ok. Leos are robberys...they must hunt to be healthy and normal (not to thin).

She is by no means lazy. She will stalk and hunt after food without a problem.
I also let her out to roam and check thing out... to help make sure she get enought exercise.
So do you think I should cut back on her food? Or is she okay. I have never had a gecko beef up like she has.

actually alot of books recommend having the fat pockets on your females before breeding. They are by no means anything to worry about and even if you cut back on the feeding a bit she isnt gonna lose weight its there to stay now. My one female is the same way
