Ovulating again?

I swear a question like this was just asked but can't find it...

Both of the females we bred this year are first-timers. The tangerine has been laying roughly every 3-4 weeks since the end of April (with one set of duds) and the mack snow laid one set of duds and two fertile pairs and then stopped.

I've noticed that she definitely seems to be ovulating again - has the big obvious pink spot. Should I breed her again? She's in healthy shape and about 60-62 grams. She last laid eggs on May 30 and didn't seem to become gravid again after that.

I have a female who, as a first-timer, laid a few clutches and then stopped for 6 weeks before starting up again, so it happens. The question of whether to breed her again didn't come up for me because I leave my breeding groups together all season. She did go on to produce more fertile clutches. There's a chance that your female will become gravid again on her own due to stored sperm, but it never hurts to give her another "shot".

I spotted the male trying to breed with her again yesterday. As long as he's not stressing her out I don't think it'll hurt. We'll see what happens in a few weeks I guess!
