I'm posting this here because it's 5:30am and it'll probably sound as stupid as I feel right now.

Question: After a female finishes laying eggs for the season, how long until she usually starts ovulating again?

Here's the deal. I've noticed two females so far who finished laying their 6th and 8th clutches 8-9 weeks ago. They pigged out and fattened up. I figured they were done laying eggs. Now they're ovulating again already. Their seasons just started six months ago, how can they be starting again?

I don't know what the fuck is going on with pheromones at my house, but I hope it doesn't continue at the new place where I'll be able to separate the young ones from the adults and the breeders from the resters and brumaters. (I'm making up words now) After having DOZENS of 25-40 gram females start to ovulate earlier this year, and now with these adults refusing to take a rest between "seasons", I don't know what to do. I guess it's a good thing Jersey's fixed, because the geckos would probably get her ovulating every other week.

I guess I better go check and see just how many "done" girls are wanting to start again.

I have had several females ovulate at the 40-45 gram range this year as well. I had one female start ovulating last November, and was finished in May, but has started again. I figure as long as is at good weight I'll just go ahead and breed her again now, and hopefully she'll get back on the schedule the rest of them are on.

Well there are at least five that have started ovulating again, and one of them laid her "last" clutch 5 weeks ago (she was laying every 13-14 days). So far they're all at least as heavy as they were when the season started, but for obvious reasons I don't really want to pair any more up until AFTER I finish moving.

I don't think I'll have to worry about rack space shortage for a while though. It's been really hot here the last three days and my A/C can't keep up. My female incubator that is upstairs and probably has 300+/- eggs in it was bouncing up to 87-88*. I just unplugged it and left the door wide open, but it's still 84* in there. I haven't had a single egg hatch in the last 72 hours.

I'm in a shitty mood and I can't sleep to save my soul. Does it show? :/
