This is the main thing I don't completely understand, and I think I should.
I have to TS Females that are 2.5 months old.
I really never paid attention to the term ovulating when researching Leopard Geckos. Is that when the time period from when the eggs are made to when the are laid? Also, do all females ovulate even if they don't breed? If so, the eggs will be infertile and I can throw them out? Finally, how often do they ovulate??? Once a year?
Thanks guys, Sam

Ovulating just means when they are producing follicles and can become pregnant. When a female gecko is ovulating, that is when you want to introduce her to a male if you want to breed. If you do not introduce the females to any males during ovulation, they cannot produce fertile eggs. Being gravid means they are actually carrying eggs. A female that has never been introduced to a male could possibly lay eggs, but they would be infertile slugs. Females usually reabsorb these. As for how often they ovulate, I am not exactly sure...

I know (well I didn't think so), but I just wanted to know what the term meant for future. I like to be "over-prepared".
