Ovulating?

I think Hermalina (don't laugh) is ovulating for the first time. She hasn't eaten much in about a week. She is six months old.

Stupid question! Will she still get eggs if there is no boy in with her?

Not a stupid question. Hermalina may lay an/some infertile egg(s) even without being bred to a male. Just make sure she's getting gutloaded insects that are dusted with calcium, as well as having calcium available in her cage.

And they do sometimes go off food around ovulation...my females all started between 6-9 months of age.

They will still lay eggs but none of them will be fertile, provide lots of calcium and gutloaded crickets,as well as a moist hide for her to lay her eggs in so she won't get eggbound.

She's got it all. I dust the crickets every other day and I have a dish of powder in there. I've been throwing a couple crickets in there every day just in case she wants to eat. She is showing a little interest and then turns away.

I have recently put in a second story for her, but I took it down just in case she can't run down the crickets well in there. I'm trying everything just in case.

She is pooping regularly.
