How long do NON-Breeding female Geckos ovulate for?

My girl hasn't been eating much since the beginning of the year Of course I thought she was ovulating because she seemed to be "nesting" and I noticed those little red dots in her belly were they say the eggs are created, I'm referring to a picture I saw on here somewhere. Today I looked at her and noticed she had a white little dime sized area in her belly?, is that a developing egg? It's on her right side.

Yes, most likely she is developing an egg. It will be infertile, but as I'm sure you know it is fairly common. Dont be suprised if you find two eggs in there... Have you considered getting her a mate?

Tiamat hasn't been "nesting" persay, she still hangs out in her cool hide most of the time, but since the beginning of this month she has not eaten regularly at all. Her belly has become very pink with a darker pink spot in the middle.

It seems a lot of people on here are having problems with their females ovulating and not eating. It really sucks so I feel your pain.

I'd like to know how long they ovulate for as well. Will they stop once they've laid their eggs - if they do at all - or will they stop when it gets cold again outside?

Well i have had my females ovulating now for 4ish months. They go on and off food. I figure as long as i see food gone out of the tubs then there is nothing to worry about and it will pass. It's very annoying to offer food and they don't eat for days i know how it feels. The only thing i would say is ride the storm out hopefully it will get better down the road.

hauseremts got it right... as long as her tail is looking fat your good. She may not lay any eggs at all if she is infertile... she may reobsorb them so you may not see any eggs at all. My female ovulated for a month - ish and she just dropped her eggs two days ago so... hope that helps a bit.

ugh.

If I would have known all this I would have gotten a boy! lol I wanted a boy to begin with but they didn't have any at the pet store. But this ovulating thing is stressing me out because I don't have crickets in my town so I drive an hour away to get a bunch of them and then she doesnt eat them anyways so most of the crickets end up dying. and then I have the crickets in her cage and she doesnt eat then so I have to take them back out (which is a pain).

So anyways, this ovulating thing lasts all of summer? I don't know how you breeders do it..but boy i bet it stresses me out more than it stresses my gecko out! lol or can I put in a cooler bulb and she will stop?
