So I have a female leo and I've seen people posting about ovulating females. I have no clue what this is, is it the equivelant of a menstrual cycle? I mean I've never seen something that looks like something other then stool. Can someone please explain

In humans, ovulation (the maturation and release of eggs from the ovaries) is followed by menstruation if no fertilization occurs, since the lining of the uterus (which has built up) is no longer needed. In geckos, there is no menstruation because there is no uterus that has to nurture a fetus. Ovulation is when usually 2 eggs become mature and are available to be fertilized. You can actually see these maturing eggs by looking for 2 pink globes in the gecko's belly. There are pictures of ovulation online. If the eggs aren't fertilized (or even if they are, in the case of one of my more frustrating breeding females) the eggs are re-absorbed.
