Ovulation?

Hey guys,

Just had a quick question about ovulation.. I am not seeing the pink/white dot in the middle of my leos belly, however her fat bodies are taking up most of her abdomen (more than usual), does this mean ovulation? I'm not seeing the pink dot (ovum I think its called) but her fat bodies are taking her whole body.

Even after 11 years I can sometimes not tell whether the female is ovulating because of the fat. Either she's got a lot of fat (and she's not ovulating), or, if you bred her, she's gravid and you're seeing eggs. I would imagine it's most likely that she's not ovulating because this is the winter season for most leopard geckos. My geckos are mostly not eating much and sleeping a lot. I'll put the males together with the females about mid-January but they will probably not become gravid till some time in February or later.
