ok searched this and found no answer in over 20 pages lol
At approximately what age do female leos first ovulate? If housed with a male will they ovulate sooner?
Reason I ask is I went to a pet store and they had 4 geckos in one cage. One was def male and two were def female. He claimed they were approx 5 1/2 months if they were 6 weeks when he recieved them according to where they got them from. I noticed on the belly of one some eggs. Now mind you they are larger then my juvies but not adult size so I would say sub adult. I was assuming (what happens when we assume?) that females ovulated approx 8 months? But if housed with a male wouldn't that bring them in sooner? They were no where near 50 grams for sure but I pointed out to him that I saw eggs int he belly of one. Could she be developing infertile eggs that young? Or could the male have bred her that young? Just didn't seem possible for their age that he claimed they were for them to be able to breed yet. Someone wanna clarify all this for me? My husband wanted to get me another gecko for our anniversary (which is today!) after losing Zari the other day. Isn't he sweet? I liked one female inparticular that had a lot of spots tho they were all normal. SHe appeared to have eggs in her. Is that possible if they are only 5 1/2 months old? :main_huh:
