I am fairly new to the whole breeding thing can you please give me the defenition for ovulation. what does it mean. do i need to have my gecko ovulate before i breed. also how do i know when a gecko is ovulating

Ovulation is when a female produces an egg cell. Yes she does need to ovulate for breeding. There will be a pink spot right in the center of her belly, you cant miss it lol.

Theres also the paper-towel trick, but i dont have the link right now, ill see if i can find it and post the link.

Usually when they ovulate, they eat less or stop completely. You'll know when shes ovulating because if you look on her belly youll see a pink dot (size of an eraser on a pencil).
