So I am by no means getting a pacman frog soon just wondering for future endeavors, but you know how you feed them a pinkie once-twice a month. Well is that all you feed them that month or do you still feed them crickets in between.

It depends on the size of the frog!! My big one eats one big mouse twice a month (thats all I can get him to eat) and my little one I feed one hopper mouse twice a week and crickets but hes staring to only what the mice now lol..........

Appropriate sized rodents should be fed once a month generally, some do twice a month. The rodent is fine for that feeding but that does not mean thats all you have to feed it that month. You should still be feeding it the normal cricks, earthworms, etc..

My pacman was notorious for not eating, he actually went 6 months without eating. I had to put him on paper towel because I thought he might have been impacted. I know they like to burrow and all, but he was getting me really stressed out!

I wouldnt use paper towels for pacmans. Stick with coco fiber( AKA eco earth, bed a beast). That is the best substrate for them, you wont have any worry about impaction from that:main_thumbsup:. Just stay away from crap like moss, bark,or mulch..

An all rodent diet with Pacman frogs can leader to many problems, including blindness. Feed crickets, roaches, and/or earthworms.

Pacmans can go a long time with out eating, if they get hungry, they will eat. Unless they have chytrid or are impacted. But really, a pacman doesn't get impacted from a few mouthfuls of dirt. It takes maybe some moss, gravel, or bark chips to cause serious impaction. Of course dirt can cause it, but it needs to be a reasonable amount of dirt.

Mine eats roaches, earthworms, and pinkies. I only give a pinkie once a month though. I also use bed-a-beast.:) He/she is growing well and has no problems.
