Pacman Frogs as pets?

Much to my fiance's chagrin, I have suddenly found myself enamored with these chubby little guys.
How are they as pets?
Can you handle them or do they think fingers are food?
Also, if I keep them in my reptile room, which stays at about 80 degrees, do they still need a UTH?

Thanks!

PS. I'm having a hard time finding breeders, any suggestions as to where I should look?

When I had mine I did not use an uth and they was just fine.... as for holding them I read that it could stress them out and if you do hold them you have to wash your hands before you do because they can absorb stuff through their skin... as for the biting as long as you keep your fingers away from their face you should be fine.... It does not hurt if they bit you (I should know lol)....

Awesome!

What about tank set up? I have a 10 gallon all ready with coco fiber and a water dish. Do I need to soak the coco fiber or just mist it?

We keep ours in a 10 gallon with bed-a-beast, two water dishes, and an uth. I mist everyday and fill the water. I really don't recommend holding them. We've had to pick ours up to clean his tank, but that's it. He will lunge across his tank at anything that moves and will eat anything in front of him. Sometimes he'll see me moving in front of his tank and attack the glass (his tongue sticks to it). Ours is a very good eater.;)

I got mine at a reptile show when he was about quarter size. That was a little over a year ago. He's huge now. Their potties are also very big. Bigger than my adult bearded dragons!

They're pretty boring frogs unless when they're eating. I have two baby ones i picked up at Anaheim. I have one ornate that's a beast, lunges at everything and a little tiny albino...that's rather timid and harder to feed.

as babies, their bites wont' hurt, but when they're adults..watch out!

I've got three. Like Kristi said, it's not really recommended handling frogs. They breath through their skin, and if you have something on your hands, your frogs can absorb it. Plus, it can stress them out.

I use UTH's with my tanks. 10 gallon is fine, but I've heard 20 gallon long is better for adults.

They are pretty boring . Even sometimes when feeding, they're not so interesting. My guys wait for the crickets to come to them before attempting to eat. I have one that will eat nightcrawlers.

I mist when every other day, but usually it's very thorough, which means a little time consuming.
