Paint fumes

This may be a superfluous question, but I am nonetheless concerned and thought I should ask anyways.

A room close to mine (and my geckos') is being painted. I am doing my best to keep my door closed at all times, and so far it doesn't smell like paint in here, but the smell of paint reeks throughout the whole house.

I am just wondering if there's any reason to be concerned with the fumes paint give off when it comes to geckos. It seems like I'm doing all I can to ensure that the smell doesn't carry to my room, but I just want to be sure.

I guess its too late, but if they do any more painting, see if they'll use the Low or No VOC paint. In the meantime, I wouldn't worry too much, but if you start to smell it, maybe crack a window a tiny bit (assuming its not too cold).
