The male is the older of the two and has changed color quite a bit. I call him Dice because of the double fours on his back, LOL. I was just fortunate enough to hatch out a temp incubated female enigma het tremper as well so it looks like I will have a cool pair to breed back to each other. When she gets a little more size on her, I'll post updated pics. Thanks for looking. Mike Panichi

I'm not trying to start a fight but you said the female enigma was het Tremper, did you mean Bell?

I believe the albino lines don't cross, but I'm not sure how that would effect the Enigma genes since we don't fully understand it yet.

Just wondering if you could clear that up for me. :main_cool3:

I bred a Super Giant Tremper Albino male to an enigma female. Enigma or not, all of the babies should be het Tremper correct? I guess they could also be called possible het bell since I have not proven the female to be het bell or not. Thanks. Mike Panichi

I only asked because it was my understanding that the Enigma came from the Bell line. I didn't think people would want to run the chance of having double het with 2 albino lines.

I could be way off line on this since I don't haven't really paid much attention to the Enigma genes.

I think I read somewere that you can breed Enigma with "what ever" and get Enigmas back...so if I have understand things right the Enigma is co-dominant or??? Someone help me out...

But back to the babies....absolutly fantastic looking!!!
Congratulation :)

Enigma is dominant rather than co-dominant (since the homozygous dominant and heterozygous individuals are phenotypically the same).

The red eye is the albino form (just for some reason, in enigmas the albinism doesn't manifest itself in the body, only the eyes).

about the enigmas being from the bell line. Thats why I bought two of them. I wanted to get tremper into one of them. I'll prove her out one way or another as being het for bell, but not this year. To be honest, I think a few people who have them are or plan on breeding them to raptors. Thanks. Mike P
