Ok, so I just introduced my male tang enigma to my female hypo snow. What happened was the female actually got on top of the male and kinda pinned him down with her front legs. The male was doing all the normal things they do(shaking tail, nipping, etc.) Everytime he would try and do his business she would kinda flinch and try and get away. This all happened within the course of about 10-15 minutes. Should I try again with this pair, or would it not be a good idea based on the behavior above??

To me it looks like she is ovulating. She has that pink spot in her belly. Rob, that is actually pretty much exactley what was happening. Except for the whole female standing on top of the male thing. Anyone ever had that happen?? Is it normal??

Is the female bigger than the male that could be it? or maybe shes just more aggressive I wouldnt know, and in part two of the video the female gives in and lets him.

Thats probally it I read that they need to be about the same size or the female might not accept the male. You might want to get the male a bit bigger to make them about the same size

Some females may not accept males that are smaller than them or even ones the same size. Some girls just like their men big and bulky...

I would try again in a couple days just like these guys did. As long as there are no serious injuries or violent fighting then it is probably fine.

Sounds good. So, if this doesn't work. I bigger male would be better?? I thought that you wouldn't want a male that was bigger, because of the danger of the male getting too rough with the female. I do have a bigger male. He is 70 grams and she is 53 grams. Think that is too big??

I dont think so, I'm mean look in the video that snow was like twice the females size. Just make sure hes not hurting her in a violent way, you know like outside of breeding.
