I use panacur. I wouldn't use it on a leo under a year old, since it can be hard on their liver and kidneys, but once a year wouldn't be a bad preventative measure.

Where would they pick up parasites once a year?
In theory, shouldnt they only need to be dewormed the first round, and thats enough?

Parasites can live inside common prey items such as crickets, roaches, mealworms, superworms, etc.

Really I hear its really safe, anyways, what dosage do you use? And how often is the treatment? For example in like once 2 weeks for a month or? I just want to do it effectively and correctly to prevent parasites.

If you can get your hands on it, a 0.5cc syringe works the best. The actual dose is dependent on the gecko's mass. Here's an example of a 50 gram gecko's dose.

50mg (dose) x 0.05kg (weight) = 2.5 divided by 100 (concentration)

This means the proper dose of this medication for a 50 gram gecko is 0.025ml

As a preventative, I'd do two doses in a month, one every two weeks.

one more thing, is panacure injected, or consumed? because i thought it was consumed... also would this one work?

Consumed, I put the drop on the tip of my leos nose and they lick it up. That's the stuff. You can also get it at most farm and country stores, in case you want to save on shipping.

Iv only used Beaphar Reptile Wormer 5 Ml. Also agree with what Justin said, its still hard on their bodies and I would deffo not do it if they Have not got any. Have their faeces tested first to save any unneeded stress.

I use it on all my geckos from babies to adults twice a year. This is what i think the best vet doctor in the world said (Dr. Klingberg). He gave me certain does for even the babies all the way to the big ones. The geckos all picked up in eating after this!!
