Hello everybody this is my leopard gecko Parallax, I have had him about three months but only now was able to get decent pictures. He is very curious, always coming up to the edge of the tank to see what I am doing.
He eats a ridiculous amount of crickets and mealworms, he is a total badass and likes to shake his sick snake tail at them before he rips their heads off. The other cool thing is his tail has formed into this meaty club, like when I got him his tail was all dinky and small and now it's fat and heavy.

Holy crap really? No, I had no idea it was a girl, I have no idea how to sex them and the place I bought it had no idea, so I just guessed! How can you tell?!

Darn, Chris!!! I wanted HIM to reply to my question, because I have 1,606 posts, and NONE of them was ever worthy a reply by M_surinamensis. Now, it won't happen anymore :main_laugh:

Don't feel too bad, if Seamus replys to one of your posts it's usually not going to be enjoyable. He commented, errr....wrote a thesis, ;) correcting my reccomendation not to use overhead lights for leos. I wont make that mistake again! :main_laugh:

Yeah, I looked underneath "her" tail, and I don't see any bumps whatsoever, does that mean it's a girl? Are there any other ways to tell? And that's cool as shit, so does this mean I can get another one and keep it in the same tank? :)

I liked the Kilowag comment btw :)

Yes, the second and more important way is to look for the V-shaped dark pores. If your geckos doesn't have those, it's a girl. Girls can be "bulgy," so sometimes it's hard to tell by their balls what gender they are :main_laugh:

And yes, if you are sure you have two females, they are both healthy and parasite-free, they are of the same size, and your tank is so big it gives each gecko at least 10 gallons and a hide on its own, you can put them together. :main_yes: Just make sure you quarantine any new gecko for at least a month before exposing your existing gecko to it.

AND you need to look for a male... and thus grows the leo addiction :main_laugh:
