That seems to be the theory that's most likly and that most are happy to accept. But i think it's a little early to say it's a 100% fact.

People have made APTORs and RAPTORs with breeding reverse stripe to red stripe. Albertos website has a good section on it.

:main_rolleyes: Theory? It has been proven. That is exactly what happened. It is the same exact "mutation" seen on the Aptor, and is part of the reason there is an "Eclipse". Without the "Patternless Stripe/Aptor" gene, or genes, it would have never happened.

"Patternless Stripe" came from Red Stripe X Reverse Stripe Albino. I think it is possible, we would have seen them come out of Reverse Stripes eventually, but do not know for sure on that. There are some "Patternless" type geckos that came out of just Red Stripes alone, but they have not been proven the same, at least not yet. The cross between the two, definitely does produce some of the "Patternless" types, provided you have the right lines. Breeding Patternless Stripes, or geckos that carry those genes, also will give you the "Eclipse" mutation, like in the Raptor project.

The first pic is a PRS, the second an APTOR X PRS

i think you will get the best answers from alberto. he has been testing it and breeding it. i think as far as i can remember get a patternless stripe from stripe to reverse stripe but the eye thing is a different trait. now i could be wrong. alberto is the one to ask about this though. he can give you the most detailed information

Robin, I have been telling people the same thing Alberto is saying for quite some time. We had both started that same project at pretty much around the same time, and have both had the same results. Just saying, I think I have a pretty good handle on it as well. If I did not you would not have seen me so confident in my findings, and posting them allover this site for over a year already. The "Eclipse" came out of the "Aptor" project, same as the "Eclipse" comes out of the PRS project. You cant really get any more simple than that, for an explanation. That was what proved it for me.

Alberto just recently made a post on this, but it is not much different from what I have been saying all along. That just means, to me, it is that much more proven. I knew that the "Patternless Stripes", were the same as the Aptor, when I first saw them. Along with alot of other people.

I am glad we know what is going on, at least.:)
