I am getting 5 baby leos at the end of the month. I was hoping that i could support them on Meal Worms and Meal Worm beetles?
would the beetles be the same as feeding crickets?
Crickets are hard to get in NZ and when you can get them they are nearly $1ea!!! i dont have the time/space to breed them at the moment so would this diet be ok?

I would go with the larvae alone - gutloaded well and dusted with calcium when needed, they should be a sufficient diet, though if you have the chance some variety will certainly be appreciated. :D Superworms, locusts, roaches, etc. may also be available to you for a reasonable price depending on your location and budget - the Internet is a wonderful thing! :)

What about roaches? There are several types to choose from and I would imagine that it is easier to breed roaches and quicker then crickets. Plus they don't smell :main_laugh:
