Pet store rant

okay so I was at the pet store the other day to get some crickets and I am very angry with them
first off it took 30+ minutes for me to get ANY service let alone get the crickets
then when I got the crickets after about 15 minutes of him out back he come back with a bag of 50 pinheads, seriously I would be lucky if my geckos coulld even see theses things
then one of the worst parts is that I WAS planning on getting a chameleon from them and had asked if they could get a few in, so they got them in and I asked the nice lady at the counter when they would be out of quarintine and she said in two weeks, so he wasnt suppose to be for sale until tommorow and when I got there yesterday he was gone. and what did the nice lady said," somebody wanted him really bad and had a fish tank and everything"
(if you don't know about chams, you do NOT keep them in fish tanks)
so I was quite annoyed and to just set it off I had to pay 7.50 for 50 pinheads that when combined made a ball about the size of a normal cricket

so sorry for my rant but I just had to let out my rage and furry on something other than my cat (thats a joke I dont actually hurt my cat, I love her quite a bit)

I wouldn't have bought the crickets lol. Seems like a rough day at the pet store for you lol, I had the same thing happen to me today. I went in to check out a little pet shop by my house and it was so sad, they had leo's in some type of loose substrate not sure what it was it looked like little tiny brown balls and the poor things looked like they were about to die and then to top it all off it took the lady almost 20 minutes before I could ask her if they had any mealworms for my baby leo and she says yeah then she shows me superworms. Blah I could go on and on about my day lol

Same here, I swear they employ people without the faintest idea of what a leopard gecko is. I know a friend who had four leopard geckos and went a local small business for crickets but they gave him black ones that fought, but he had no idea as these were his fist reptiles, they all died from the infections to the wounds before my friend had any idea of what was going on.

they try pulling that with me all the time I think that they don't sell many pin heads so if you don't CLEARLY let them know they will give you what they have the most of. And as far as buying anything from a chain store if very ify, you might be better off not getting it.
