Petstore hatchling-advice?

On my way into a local petstore to grab some supplies I noticed that the store had gotten in a shipment of baby leos. I was shocked to see how small they really were. I noticed a little patternless and couldn't say no. When I got it home it registered 2.7 grams on my scale. The baby isnt too jumpy, hasn't screamed or hissed yet, but I'm looking to see if there is any advice for a possibly stressed out baby. Luckily they just came in yesterday.

I have it set up in a 10g with a 92 degree warm spot, water dish, plenty of mealies in a shallow dish and alot of hiding places with paper towel substrate.

Any tips for keeping this lil one happy, or am I pretty much set?

Thanks bunches
Jess

Here is a pic of her in the box that she came home in. I tried using a q-tip to remove some of the orange, not all of its off yet but I don't want to bother her too much her first day. I took the pic before I tried cleaning her up a bit. I wish petstores were government regulated some days.

Make sure its humid hide stays humid. Smaller bodymass animals, especially, can make use of a humid microclimate to avoid dehydration issues.

I actually keep the entire cage more humid while they are tiny, but that is not a necessity by any means.

Thanks! she has two of the humid hides at the moment. She was in the warm humid one earlier. I'll keep a close eye on them. I was actually thinking of giving the tank a pump with my mister later before bed just to add a fine layer of droplets, not soaking the tank of course.

I have loved patternless for a long time, and the male I got for Christmas is just splendid. I did feel bad for supporting the store, and also for not taking all the babies lol. But I've been interested in getting a female patternless so might as well take the chance. I almost got another, a little albino, very active and curious little one.

She hasn't eaten this afternoon, but I really don't expect it to untill tonite.

My mealworm colony has taken off too, so I have gobs of mini and medium mealworms on hand heheh.

Hey Jess, looks like you've got everything set to go for the little one. Good luck with him/her...it seems to be a very dark patternless, it'll be cool to see how it turns out as it ages, keep us updated! I love seeing the progression of leopard gecko growth, especially the patternless morphs.

Thanks! Thats good to hear. I've never seen one quite that small. I keep forgetting how small it is and have to crack a smile each time I see her. She's doing alright, still active and I caught her out exploring while on a midnight bathroom trip lol, so there is hope!

Well, I was quite excited this morning when I checked on the lil one, I found two tiny lil leavings in the far corner of the cage.

Sounds like you are doing well. IMO misting the whole viv isn't needed since you already have a water bowl and 2 moist hides. I wouldn't want to see any respiratory issues. Good Luck.

So far the very first night was the only time that I've given the tank a shot with my mister. I re-wet the hides daily so those are staying moist, and yes, there is a large by comparason to her but very shallow water dish.

She seems to be doing good, very bright and alert, and I don't think she's terribly stressed as she came out to peek at us earlier and then continued on her way.

Thanks everyone! I'm really excited that she overall seems to be doing so well.

When I checked on Marble last night before bed, I was pleasantly surprised to see that she was about to shed
