Phelsuma Bastardi? Questions about handling

My friend ordered one of these. I'm wondering since it's a phelsuma, is it handleable? I thought you shouldn't handle phelsumas too much because their skin is too delicate.

thanks in advance!

If it is Phelsuma, it has toe pads. If it is Pareodura, it does not.

In either case, neither genus is really a good species for handling. Phelsuma are fast moving and have very delicate skin, Pareodura are also pretty quick and don't like being handled. As far as geckos for handling purposes goes, it's best to stick to Leopards, African Fat tails, and Rhacodactylus.
