Phoenix: Mystery of the broken arm.

I work at ++++++++. We have a room where we put the sick ones, vet them, and medicate them. Around December - January I noticed one of our little guys out on the floor dragging her arm and it was all bruised and purple. I rushed her back to the vet where she did X-rays and the arm was indeed snapped in half. She broke it due to a bad shed. The vet said she would never use her arm properly again and it was best that we adopt her out, so I took her. Fast forward - she has grown a bit, but not significant. Her bands have not broken, and she does in fact, use her arm. She climbs, walks, etc. but she doesn't walk with her belly high off the ground. I know that is due to her arm being severely broken but she acts healthy in every way. I also do not think she can see very well (she's an albino of some sort. They don't see well do they?)

Anyways, my question is, what's up with the growth? Why aren't her bands breaking? She's near close to a year old. Anyone have any idea?

Many albino leopard geckos have less break up of the bands than non- albinos. I happen to think that the yellow and white albinos are gorgeous and you have a lovely specimen. Enjoy her.
