Last time I was buying feeders online I noticed they had something called phoenix worms. I was wondering if anyone uses them or has any info on them.
-Thanks

I have used them. My leopard gecko ate them the first time I fed them but then refused to touch them after that. My box turtle loves them.

Huh, Mylo loves em. How strange. He eats his meal and phoenix worms together and will always eat the phoenix first. Guess it depends on the Leo.

My leos are hit-and-miss when it comes to phoenix worms. Some love them, some don't. I have a male who will eat nearly anything that moves but won't eat more than one phoenix worm at a feeding, but then one of my females goes NUTS over them. You can always go down to your local -Co or -Smart pet store and see if they have a small cup to try out before you buy them online. In my area, it's -Co that carries them. Just be sure to check the cups... sometimes the phoenix worms have all pupated and/or turned all the way into soldier flies. Those fly and move too fast for geckos to catch.

Also... if you just drop the phoenix worms in the dish, make sure there aren't any superworms in it. Mealworms are fine, but I've noticed supers will kill and eat any phoenix worms they can get ahold of.
