Just wondering if anyone has had the same problems with their leopard geckos ?

Mine only seem to like crickets, butterworms, waxworms and thats it... They won't touch their Superworms Or Mealworms ?

Any idea on what else i can give them.... if there is fruit i can blend up for them or anything at all that will strike them as interesting food to eat ?

thanks

Having a varied diet is great but sometimes in order to get them to like mealworms you have to limit their options for a while. Rarely will geckos starve themselves to death because they don't like a food item. They may go on hunger strike for a week or two but eventually they'll eat them once they get hungry enough. I would also cut waxworms out of their diet completely unless a laying female gets really skinny. It's like giving kids candy for desert even though they won't eat their dinner. :p

when i first gave my gecko mealies instead of the superworms he's eaten for most his life he starting refusing supers (he started eating them again though). he doesn't care much for crickets but will eat them if he doesn't have anything else offered. i haven't dared to offer him a waxworm, he's bordering on obese.

Thanks for the good helpful tips! after i posted this i went down and checked on them... the two new ones did indeed eat their supers... I will cut back on the waxworms, will only offer them to my laying females! :)

Thanks again
