I was cleaning out some cages and figured I should post more photos as promised!

1. Orange stripes/patternless stripes
2. Tangerine comparison
3. Baby orange stripes
4. Weird eclipse with yellow splotches
5. Nice eclipses

Enjoy!

Thanks!

"Did the Eclipse come from your Orange Stripes?"

Yeps! I know I have 4 orange stripe females that are proven "het for eclipse", there are a few more that I'm unsure of.

I also have a proven "het for eclipse" male, the gecko pictured in the first post, pic 1 (on top) and pic 2 (far right). He used to be almost 90% ct, but has faded a bit with age- but he does produce really nice carrottail offspring!

Who knows what will pop out this year from this fun project??? I'm looking forward to it!

haha

"Middle aged married couple...too funny!"

You forget the "semi tired" part!! Usually I retire females after about 6 years, but it really varies depending on how they recover and regain weight. I actually have a "retirement" rack where all the oldies hang out!

I can't sell them off as "proven breeders" like some ads you might see...then the females drop dead for "no reason"...0_0

thanks

"Do think you'll produce some this year?"

I hope so! I've produced them for a few seasons but with my pyros and alterna, it can be hit or miss. Some years are great, others are average, and some years just plain suck! The ovulating female in the photo was produced in '02, she's one of my favorites because of her red head!

Anyways, I tend to be greedy and keep all the applegate phase offspring =) Honestly, they are just so beautiful, I don't really care about their monetary value (I bought them years ago at $2,000 ea!), you can probably find them wholesale for less than $250-500 ea depending on quality. Last year, I got some bad eggs and the ones that hatched were all hets that I gave to a friend of mine.

"Jon, I'd like to come and 'clean out some of your cages'... lol!"

LOL
