Hey guys, I just wanted to show a picture of my rack. I had to break it down for Spring Break and rebuild it. Here it is in action!

This one is pretty heavy and large. The dimensions are 36" W x 24" D x 48" H. I'd imagine a hatchling rack would be a lot lighter.

I had planned on building a melamine rack for our chinchilla and it was just too heavy-prob over 50 easy at only 3ft tall. You could add wheels to it though to move around easier as long as you don't plan on moving up/down steps.

all i can say is watch that flexwat, especially if you dont have it on a proportional thermostat. i had some burn a hole in the bottom of one of my tubs, and just feel obligated now to tell everyone i see that has it! rack looks great though.

it was WAY cheaper to build than buy... $104 for the wood. 88 ft of tape would be somewhere around 180 i think. so i made the rack for less than 300

i would really suggest getting a proportional thermostat. the on/off kind let the tape heat up to its highest temp when it is switched on, which was my problem, along with not getting any airflow under the tubs.
