Picture Suggestions for Tattoo

I'm contemplating getting a tattoo of my first leopard gecko on my ankle (positioning can be changed). She means a lot to me as I was in down point in my life, but things seemed to have flipped once I received her for my 16th b-day. I've had her for like 4 and a half years or so. But, anyway. I'm not sure what would make a better picture. I have these two I'm thinking about. They're similar pictures, one's two years older and was taken on my bed versus a hard surface. Or should I try to get a different one at a different angle?

I think you should try getting pictures of her actually on your ankle. Then you'll really have the true angles and shading. I can't wait to see how it comes out. When are you doing it?

Try to get a image on a slight downward angle which will show the detail in the back and sides, plus the eyes clearly. The eyes are the window to the soul so they say and I find them to make or break an image.
