pinkys for fatties?

anybody tried? any luck? how big will the gecko be before it takes a pinky?

I dont feed them to my leos or AFTs. They are very fattening and hard to digest, they are okay as a treat once in awhile if you really want to feed them but I personally dont feed them.

I feed them to my fatties no problem during breeding season. My females get a live pinkie after each clutch, I find it helps them maintain their weight during the stress of laying.

Some will not take them at all though.

my AFT love's them, for a while he went on really long, not eating binge, and i was feeding 1 every two weeks to help get him back up to weight, he eats them like a fat kid eats a twinky.

i dont got a scale or anything, he's about 7-8 inches long tho

SOmeone gave me some so I tried them. They gobbled them up super fast.

Only get one. Remember they are a treat item and your gecko may not eat it any way.

Off topic, I had a Cane toad that loved pinkies. He got one every other month, he mainly ate supers and crix.
