When I checked the eggs this morning I noticed one was wet so wanted to make sure it was ok. Touching it, it was sticky like the baby pipped the egg, but there is no baby yet. Not experienced this before so is there something I should do by tomorrow if there's still no baby? Actually pip the egg myself?

This egg is still seeping egg fluid and if I put a penlight to it, the baby is taking up the whole egg, with one end very slightly dented. How long can before the egg starts drying out inside? I don't know if I should pip it or not-I've only done it once. But I'm wondering if the leo is still alive now. There's no mold or anything, but that's also what I'm afraid will happen since the egg is staying wet.

i would finish pipping it. if you have some cuticle scissors gently either pinch the egg where it is kinda lose or you can cut there it has pipped at. very gently with the pointy ends of the scissors facing away from the gecko make very small little cuts. once you have cut it about a half an in (long way on the egg) take a closer look to see if the baby is still alive. if it is or is not take the baby out. and gently wipe the yolk and what not from around its body and head, so it can breath. let us know how it goes. good luck
