So my girlfriend called me today with some startling news, our gecko will not stop drinking. She said for 1 1/2 hours, she was drinking steadily.

She has accurate temps, almost perfect humidity and paper towel substrate. She is about 1 year old and lives in a 20 gallon tank with plenty of shelters. We have a vet appointment at 4:30 today and thats the soonest and closest vet possible.

Her close friend albeit at Petco, said it could be gall bladder disesase or parasites or bacteria of some kind.

Can somebody please make me feel better about this by giving some insight?

Thanks!

Probably the biggest thing... her stool has been more mushy lately. I guess that could be parasites right? It hasnt had good form or size in the last couple bowel movements. Her weight has been steady every week that we weigh her she has either gained a gram or 2 or is the same (currently 59 grams)

I should add... she has been eating although not as much lately. I chalked that up to just appetite change since shes getting out of the juvenile stages. Diet consists of mealworms, crickets and from time to time some Dubias.

gall bladder disease?
unless a vet examines your animal and tells you that, dont take advice from who ever told you that

Without a stool sample is there anything that can be done at the vet though? I read that it could be dehydration but there has been urate in all of her BMs and plenty of water with accurate temps. The temps have been fluctuating in her tank due to weather constantly changing but we monitor every couple hours and adjust accordingly. I'm quite nervous...

Yeah shes definitely going to take her at 4:30. Thats unfortunately the soonest we could get an APPT. I am of course in another state with a day full of unbreakable plans or I'd be there.. Needless to say I'm worried out of my skin
