There is something wrong with my male hybino. He is not eating. He has lost a noticable amount of weight. He also has his eyes shut alot and he is losing activity. He has watery eyes(when i can see them open) I dont know whats wrong. None of my other leos have this. He is housed with 2 other females and they are both eating and doing great. I recently lost a water dragon that had similar symptoms. She stopped eating and lost activity. Could what she had have been passed on to my leo??? I really want to know. He is a great lizard and id be heart broken if i lost him. Anyone know what may be wrong?? Thanks

I dont know much about leo sickness, but if its NOT some kind of illness it might be stress from him wanting to breed with those females.

when I housed one of my males with two females, they denied him the chance to mate all of the time and his appetite went way down and he just laid in one spot all day.

I think you should find a good herp vet in your area and take that gecko in for a checkup asap. When housed with females they will often go on hunger strikes during breeding season, but the watery, closed eyes and lack of energy is not consistent with that behavior. My males who aren't eating because of breeding season are usually actively trying to get out of their enclosure so they can get at a female.

If you don't know of a good herp vet, try an internet search or see if anyone on this forum knows of one in your area.

I totally agree! None of us here on GeckoForums.net can diagnose what sould be happening with your reptiles... only a vet can determine the problem. I know you are worried, and you need to help your gecko by taking it to a professional.

We've never had any of our Leos come down with symptoms like that so I couldn't venture a guess at whats wrong. You need to separate him from the females and take him to a herp vet immediately. It wouldn't be a bad idea to take all 3 Leos to the vet since they've been housed together.
