I know there are lots of, 'My gecko won't feed' posts around and I'm sorry for adding another. But my girlie hasn't eaten in about 2 months. She has lost about 4 grams, going from 80 to 76. I've tried leaving mealies in a dish over night for a few nights, tried some supers, and even some crickets but she's just not interested. She's still active when I take her out of her viv, but she will not eat. I can't take her to the vet until tuesday and I'm very concerned! What can I do!?

Sounds like she could be ovulating. They frequently go off food during breeding season, even if there is no male involved. Some will even lay eggs, of course they're duds. Try not to worry about her, there really isn't anything you can do about it but become frustrated. She's only lost a few grams, so she isn't in trouble being off food for an extended period. Some geckos just do that.

Okay, so its been almost 2 months since I made this thread and she's still not eating. She is now pooing again, and has shed, but she still won't eat.....

Your leo has not ate in 4 months? How much weight has she lost? You should never wait that long. She can end up with fatty liver disease. There are no vets here. We can't diagnose thru a computer. we can only help with husbandry. Please take her to the vet.

It sounds like an urgent trip to the vet is necessary. Don't think about what you should have done, think about what you NEED to do and fast. If you take your gecko to the vet now than I will consider you more than a responsible owner. Good luck

If she is pooping, she has to be eating something. Are you sure she is not eating without you noticing? They often eat at off hours while you are probably sleeping. Has she lost more weight?

Put a male in with it. Seriously? Did someone just recommend that? Let me get this straight....The OP is coming here for serious help and their gecko hasn't ate very much if anything in 4 months and the advice they get is "put a male in there". I don't even know what to say. This place is getting seriously invaded by some horrible advice lately. All I've got to say is wow.

So here's an update.

She's VERY picky and its getting expensive lol She LOVED supers then wasn't interested. LOVED crickets, then lost interest, a little fussy with mealies now has no interest. She'll eat MAYBE twice a month. She's down and is stable at 65 grams, but she has lost interest in eating again. I have seen butterworms at the pet store and might pick a few up but they're like $4 each :/ Can't find any roaches and shipping is not an option for me unfortunately.....Any more advise? OH and I would NEVER put a male in, especially since she's not eating. Stupid suggestion....
