I have not finished the breeding part (last 5 sections or so) because I need to research a bit.
But please review the rest and give me criticism :D:main_thumbsup::D
Instead of pasting it here I will give a link, Clicky! :main_cool3:

I would have to say that you have done a very nice job. Once you have finished your other sections, let us know and then I will review it.

I think 5 geckos in a 30 gallon tank is a bit of a stretch. IMO start with a 20 gal long for 1 gecko then add 10 gallons per extra gecko.

You recomend cleaning gecko poop once every week? I clean mine the minute I see it, so every day.

doin your best

I think that 2 leos for a 10 gallon is ok I have done 4 females and 1 male in a 20 long before and some breeders clean once a week and some times longer if you look at http;//www.leopardgecko.com/caging.html they say to vaccum it out once a week with no paper towels so there are different ways for everybody I do my breeders once a week with paper towels hatchlings I do every other day.I think you also covered this by listing others web sites on yours and most of the time things are taken with a grain of salt. Also some breed them and some have them as pets so that is why some might find it hard to understand some of the stuff. I couldnt clean my racks every day I have 150 plus geckos. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! THX

Sam,
Under "substrate" you say it can get stuck in their throat and cause impaction.
If it gets caught in their throat it causes "suffication"!

And this DOES happen esp. w/ large pieces of substrate, like wood
chips, mulch, and such.

Impaction is caused by obstuction of the bowl (intestine).

I would spot clean for poop everyday then change my paper towels once a week. I've done it yet for Lana since she's new and I didn't want to stress her but it'll be the same with her.

yes, in a perfect world I think that it should be cleaned up daily but that is not real it is easy for some that have a few geckos but even if you 25 or 50 that would take a few hours a night someone eals out there has got to go longer than a day with out cleaning.Could you imange I have 2 racks and a hatchling rack cleaning those everyday it would nice to do it that way but just not real. (some one should start a poll how often do you clean you racks not tanks cause that is a little differnt )

Thank you. It took me about a week but now I have a better understanding of my geckos and how to breed them and take care of them. Just write your own and do the best you can no one will critisize you if you get something wrong (I am sure I did ) its cool. In this hobby lots of people are just happy to see that some one eals is doing the same thing as they are . Geckos are way cooler than a dog or cat anyway j/k . have fun with it and that way it will be YOUR site and you will be able to responed to the posts that someone dosent know the answer to and you can help them with their qustions that they dont have a answers to or you can recomned differnt stuff to help them best of luck.

I need care sheets/info on geckos.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need a good care sheet that I have permission to use for my new site.
# Tokay Geckos
# Fat Tail Geckos
# Crested Geckos
# Knob Tail Geckos
Any of those would be great...or others!
Or any other general information would be great.
Thanks, Sam
PS. I didn't know where to put this as there is no "general geckos" area, and it isn't really "website design".

5 geckos in a 20 gallon long would be VERY crowded and not recommended. That would force them to share nearly all of their hides, and give them little room otherwise. You COULD fit 50 geckos in a 20 gallon, but you shouldnt. A general caresheet like kooliest is not meant to tell advanced breeders how many geckos they can cram into small tanks. I still think for a PET gecko to live comfortably, a 10-20 gallon for one, 30 gallon for two and +10 gallons per extra gecko.

5 is a bit much for a 20 long. i'd say 3. And as long as they have large/lots of hides it shouldn't be a problem. it depends a lot on the gecko(s) personality(s). every gecko is diferent. there are some that hapily live with other geckos. there are others that simply refuse to be social. people are diferent too. some would say a 20 long for 5 geckos and some would say 1. lot's of variables invovled there. let's not turn this into an argument shall we?

Me too.
I precut a bunch of pieces of paper towel (just cut the corners off w/ scissors) and put them where my leo poops.
Too easy, only takes a few seconds to remove and stick a fresh corner in there.

:main_robin:
I am a noob and I admit it. My son got the leo and I am the one who's really getting into it. We got schooled on sand the hard way. We bought a bag of the calcium sand. The I went to an auction and picked up a 55 gallon tank for a buck. Man I wish I would have taken both 55 gallon tanks for a buck each.Went from a 20 gallon tank to a 55 gallon Any way I bought the second bag of sand then she got impacted and $85 vet bill $40 lamp $20 cave for moist, and last $10 for moss. Sobee is healthy again. So now I have one leo with a 55 gallon tank home. Any threads on set up.
