Ughhh i cant believe obama is president, everyone say hello to higher taxes on everything!!!!! yay!!! also lets spread the wealth and take from the rich and give to the needy so we can make everyone equally poor!!!!! and everyone say hi to gay marriage and legal abortion!!! ughhh this sucks, I HATE OBAMA, all those people who voted for him will just sit back and watch and realize they all made terrible mistakes voting for him, America as we know it is done for....... SORRY THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GECKOS I WASNT SURE WHERE TO PUT IT

I cannot say I voted for Obama, and I had my personal reasons, but I will be the last person to speak ill of those who did. That's the great thing about this country, we can all VOTE for a President.

Even though Obama was not my choice, I can be optimistic that he will get this country headed back in the right direction.

Now is not the time to speak out against a man that is the next President of the country we all love. Now is the time to accept it, and be hopeful he has it in him to turn this country around.

I'd just like to add, it's not entirely on HIM to get this country turned around - it's on citizens and elected officials alike. There is a huge paradigm shift coming with this election in the sense that the house and senate are both democratic...a seat change like this happens only every several decades. This truly is a "time for change," and I feel that Obama will not fail with his drive.

I am a republican, and very conservative, but I voted for Obama simply because I feel that the change is warranted and NEEDED as of now, and I DO welcome and look forward to what Obama will incite others to bring to the country.

I believe SLY made that comment because of how you posted. There are ways to "put things" and ways to not. Simply saying "america as we know it is done for" can get some people on edge pretty quickly!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and we can definitely see what yours is.

I am just a firm believer that everyone deserves a chance. Obama was elected for a reason, over half this country believes he is the change that is needed. Again, he may not be who I voted for, but I can respect him for achieving something this huge (on so many levels), and really hope he is the man he portrays himself to be.

Last I looked, the America as we know it is in pretty sad shape. :main_rolleyes: This is the worst things have been in quite some time. I fully welcome the change in office...just SOMEONE new is a breath of fresh air...and he's not even in office yet. As to if this makes things worse...I doubt it, and time will tell.

If after 4years this country is in worst shape then it is now then you can speak! Hopefully by then you will learn to spell and make a better argument.

Firstly, I don't feel that I really need to back it up my claim of your ignorance with anything...your post speaks for itself, and people are generally agreeing with me. In particular, your inability to back up any of your claims that "things are just gonna get worse."

Secondly, Obama is not a socialist, and if you're truly worried about socialism, you might have wanted to move out of the US a looong time ago. Welfare, college loans & financial aid, any government program such as these are all based off of a certain facet of socialism. Obama is doing nothing different.

Thirdly, look at our presidents clear back to Nixon, every "tax and spend liberal" (Obama) has put our country in a surplus, while every "fiscal conservative" (McCain) has put us in a deficit. I'm not saying Obama will put us in a surplus, but he'll get closer than McCain would have. Also, what are you worried about taxes for? You can't be taxed that hard while flipping burgers.

Lastly, I AM a republican AND a very conservative person. I voted for who I voted for because I felt that he brought better things to this country than the republican party this year. The election is about the well being of the country...I thought McCain's speech summed that up VERY well last night. That's how I voted for the presidency, but every other vote for various offices, propositions, etc. were right-of-center.
