Poorly Leo hatchling suggestions

Hi there..
I am new to this forum and have been pointed in the direction of one of my pals of the other forums.

I have just come home from staying in Cardiff for 2 nights.. sadly I saw straight away he didnt seem right. When I approached it, it wobbled and was unsteady on its front legs like that of some Enigmas, yet he isnt enigma. This may be something to with what is going on what I describe bellow rather than neurological, but I obviously cannot say for sure.

This little Mack jungle is very small and looks like his tail isnt as long as it should be. My biggest concern is he has left the egg, leaving behind what looks like the yolk and attachment but it looks far more fleshy and bigger than any yolk I have seen.
The baby has sealed up his tummy but he is horrifically thin. His back is painfully arched/hunched over to reveal a concave looking stomach, with ribs on show and a tiny waist.

A horrific thought has come to mind that the fleshy material left behind on exiting the egg may be some aspect of the little ones digestive system.
What ever has happened I am 90% sure this one wont be make it.

I will give this chap a go anyway, so what I was hoping was is any other Leo breeders (or other lizard breeders) who have encountered this before could share some advice or suggestions of what I could do to try and help him.
I have Critical Care and Carnivore Care formulas at hand as well. I did put a drop of water on his nose which he wasn't too happy about as you can expect.

Many thanks
Jordan

If you can get any pics up of the little one, that might help get you some answers. Unfortunetally I don't have any, but I'm sure you will be asked for pics by others.

I have found that babies who hatch with a yolk sac and have it come off do have that concave look to the belly. There's no way it could have "dropped" its digestive system because it's all connected inside. In my opinion your best bet would be to keep it hydraged by putting a few drops of water on its nose as you're doing and also putting a few drops of any kind of pureed nutrition (e.g. cricket or mealworm guts) on its nose as well. If and when it looks as if it can tolerate it, you could hold it and push a mealworm into its mouth. I have one this season that was born with a small yolk sac attached and initially was very small and skinny, walking around with its eyes closed. I moistened the eyes and hand fed it a mealworm a day for a week or so. It's still small, but alert and is growing. Yours may not be strong enough to survive and if that's the way it goes, it may not be a bad thing.

Thanks for the replies so far.
This chap is rather small, but I will give it sometime to settle down and later I will try and introduce some water again.
I will most likely get a picture then.
