Possible bum infection?

About a week ago my 3year old mack snow male, Zell, shed. He did great, as usual, except for a small piece that got stuck to his bum. I found it a few days later and promptly removed it with a warm, wet q-tip.

This evening was the second time I caught him licking himself, which is something I never see him doing. So I picked him up to find a secretion coming from his bum. Now it could have been the white part of poop, but judging by the fact that he was licking himself I doubt it.

Should I be concerned? There's no redness or smell at all. A slight darkness, but I'm fairly sure that's normal. Can't say I've studied his private parts often, but it does match the coloration of the back of his legs.

He's acting normal. And his eating has fallen off as it tends to in the winter (eating once or twice a week).

I feed superworms. He's housed in a 20L tank with UTH set to 90. And the tank is kept in a room regulated to 70 degrees, with a light to give him a day/night cycle as there are no windows.

Thanks!
