Well darn it.
Yasser my year old patternless leo went and prolapsed tonight about an hour ago.

I have given him a 30 minute warm soak and moved him from his 20L into a 10g on damp paper towels as substrate.

Tomorrow I'm going to call my vet and see if they will let me defer payment till next week (when my next direct deposit goes in)

I had a feeling something was going to happen, he's lost a couple of grams in the past few weeks and been off his food the past couple of days (he's my big hungry one)

Any suggestions as to how I can keep him comfortable till I can get him into the vet?

Well, I've said it once I'll say it a thousand times... I LOVE my vets!

I have my pre-op appointment today so there were no open appointments where I could get Yasser in, so they squeezed me in with Dr Lusk this morning.
He removed the necrotic tip, popped it back in and gave him a stitch to keep it in while it heals.
We have some antibiotics for the next week too.

We go back Monday to check progress and remove the stitch.
