I didnt think these babies were big enough to be laying yet. But the females, that have only been around females are already gravid. Is it wise to put them with my smaller male?

If they haven't been with a male then they're just ovulating. Females will lay eggs sometimes even if they haven't been bred but most of the time they will just ovulate, reabsorb the eggs as they form, and them not lay. They're all too small to breed right now, IMO, but I'm sure after they get some weight on them they'll be ready. We've had plenty of females start ovulating at 25g, it's annoying because it's harder to get them to eat but they get through it and they're ready the next year when they're over 50g.
