Post egg laying diet question

Our female laid her first clutch of eggs one month ago. Her diet has always been mostly meal worms with occasional crickets each week. There is also a dish of calicum powder (D3 kind) in her tank at all times and the crickets are dusted with Herptivite.... after she laid her first clutch I offered her a super worm several times. She would just give it a sniff and seem totally uninterested. So, her mate got to eat them (and the beardies got some too!) She will probably lay her second clutch any time now. Is there anything else I should try to build up her fat supply? Or should I figure she knows what she needs and just stay with the mealies and occasional crickets? I am doubting she will eat a pinky if she won't even look at a super worm twice:main_rolleyes:

Thanks for any advice!

All of my gravid females get a few silk worms a week 4-5. I love silk worms because there healthy,(lots of protien, calciums) and the leos usually love them. It helps my gravid girls quite a bit.

I think the silkworm idea is great, and you could also get some wax worms and/or pinkie mice for your females, too (they're fattening - just only feed those occasionally, like once, maybe twice a week). About the supplements though, I think that the Calcium with D3 and the Mulitvitamin are only supposed to be given once or twice a week (twice for laying females). The only one that should be in the tank at all times is Calcium without D3 :)

Would crushed cuttle bone be ok to leave in the tank at all times? I don't think that would have D3 in it? I will have to go silk worm hunting, I bet all the critters would appreciate them as a treat once in a while. Thanks so much for the replies!:)
