Potty Habits

I have 2 new female geckos that are still separated for quarantine purposes. 2 year old Kobe does her poops in the right rear side of the cage; 5 year old Hannah does her poops in the left rear side of the cage. When they are both put into the one tank, will they continue to use their side, or will they both decide that one side is the way to go? Kay just posted about her beautiful Beatrice and posted a pix of her cage set up in which she houses 3 female leos. They all use the same potty space!

It depends. Some geckos will change. Some will not.

I have a gecko that I moved into it's new tub from a smaller tub. In this new tub, their hide is in the position that used to be their potty area in the old tub...well you can guess where she's pooping now...ON THE HIDE lol. Some just will not change!

i have the same issue Heather, i have 7 geckos that love to poo on their hides. Everynight i have to go wash them off.

all my girls poo in the front right corner of their tank. Makes for easy cleaning lol.

My gecko poos on the hide and in the right hand corner always switches -.-...

My male poos in the front left corner and so does my female but she sometimes poos on the hide that is close to that area

Mine ALWAYS uses the dry hide.

Well my two adults both used the same corner for over a year when they were together. Last week I separated them and the female is using the same corner while the male has switched. Its possible they will influence each other but you'll just have to wait and see

my guy cheef, only does his business in the hide in the back left corner. i have tile substrate so i just put one napkin under the hide and its like a pee-pad.
