I've had my two-year old female for about two months, and I've noticed that she only likes to poo outside of her tank. This started the second time I took her out when she was chilling on my shoulder and decided to go. I have read that leopard geckos will sometimes poop on you when they are stressed, so I put her back in her tank and washed the shirt. I made sure that the next time I took her out was completely her choice by walking onto my hand, but after I brought her out she pooped once more. She does this every time I take her out (which is about twice a week), and I don't think it's stress because she often calmly explores and crawls on me. Recently I tried not handling her for two weeks, waiting for her to poo before bringing her out, but she didn't until I brought her out to check if her shed went well.
I used reptile carpet and keep her on a mealworm and dubia roach diet. My scale is still in the mail so I don't know her weight. Her poops seem normal. Has anyone reached a problem like this before?
