Power Cuts

hey
im still geting my mum to say yes to a gecko she did then we had a agement and meh xD
but what would happen if we have a power cut and we dont have the energy to keep the vivarium at the right heat for a couple of hours? will it effect the gecko in any way?

I wouldnt imagine a few hours would be that harmful as long as it wasnt a common occurence. In the deserts of Pakistan where leopards come from, teperature drop offs between night and day can be quite substantial. Do you have power cuts often?

They would be fine, unless it was in the middle of the winter and froze.
In the rare case that that may happen, I would drive it to a friends house who still has heat.

Agreed. I realize leopards arent from humid environments, but reducing evaporation will reduce lost heat. So you could patially put something solid on top to keep in heat, but thats if you use a screen top

You could also get those hand warmers that are used for skiing and things and wrap it in a paper towel and put that in their tank, they last for a good 4 hours or so, then just keep switching them out
