i use both 4" heat tape and heatpads. mosly the heat tape tho.

Hello,
I have a hard time finding opinions on heat wave rocks as they are sold by major reptile companies.
I am currently decorating my tank (100*50*50 cm) and my local reptile salesguy advised me to put the 26W(10.0 UVB) Repti Glo on the left, a dark blue light for night time in the middle and a 100W spotlight on the right side. Next to that he advised me to buy a heat wave rock for daytime use.
I've seen and read some stories on the risk of burn injuries for the leos (eventhough the product description contradicts it, i trust the people on here more
) and I would rather not have a cable running through my tank.
Would it be possible to get a normal stone heated up properly by placing it under the 100W spotlight?
