While looking for an anery rosy boa, I found a great deal. I still want my anery, but I'm going to try to see if my boyfriend will get it for me for my birthday in July. I just couldn't get all of the snakes; my reptile fund is getting low.

I've been looking at the sand boas for some time, and because I couldn't ever decide which morph I wanted or liked the most, I just never got one. That is actually how I ended up with my rosy pair; I knew I liked those so spent the money there.

But anyway, while searching for another female coastal rosy, I found my new snakes. They should arrive tomorrow. I'm excited.

Female 66% het snow

I found some for $200, but the breeder was very slow to return emails, and I found this deal in the mean time. I really wish I had the extra $200 + shipping in my reptile funds, but it's not there right now. I had a choice of these 3 or the 1 anery. Luckily, the breeder of these snows, may have some anery rosies available around June (not sure the price). My birthday is end of July; I may be able to swing that with my bf. I can wait until their ready to be shipped.

I was wanting at least 2009 or 2008, but a 2010 anery female would be fine too. I'll breed my het albino with my albino until the anery was available; I can't wait to breed her. She's an irritable girl, but very pretty.

I'm dying not to get these and the anery now! When it comes to getting new reptiles I can be quite impatient. :-/

Just opened my box. The tape was ridiculous to cut through. My scissors weren't doing the job, so we had to pull out a knife, and the guy who was trying to open the package was having trouble, but here they are.

The females had curled inbetween the two layers of the paper towel.

Here's a quick picture from my phone.

Good luck with the names.:)

How are they doing? I really need to get more kenyans. I think I may try to breed a pair of them and a pair of rosys. I'm just trying to figure out what kinds I want.:)

They're doing fine. They immediately went hiding in the substrate. It happens.

I haven't come up with any names though. I like Nebula, but I don't know which of the 3 females (2 sand and 1 rosy it would go for).

I want a trio of the coastal rosies- male albino, female het, and the anery. I wouldn't mind a pair of another locale, but I don't know which one; I'm thinking bay of LA, but not sure. I need to cut back my gecko collection before I get any more snakes though.

I also wouldn't mind a female albino kenyan boa. I figure with the above trio, I can get oranges, aneries, and snows. I need some albino offspring in there, not just possible hets. Ha I also like the stripe Rufescens. I can only seem to find males though.

Very cool! I'm actually ordering an anery 66% het snow female. I'm guessing it's from the same place you got yours. I want to get a snow male and an albino female in the future, too.

I'm so torn on what rosy boas I want. I think I've narrowed it down to a pair of El Rosarios, Catvinas, Magdalena Plains, Cabos, or Ortiz. I like the darker colors on those.

Now I need another rack.:main_rolleyes::eek:

Kristi, New Age Reptile? Great people, if that's where you're getting yours from. They're teeny, you'll definitely see a size difference from the one you have now. You still have a good list of locales of Rosies, but definitely narrowed it down from all of the possibilities. I've seen a lot of Ortiz lately. I'd just be happy with the one Anery to go with my current pair. I was going to ask for it from my boyfriend for my birthday, but now I'm thinking I want a tattoo instead. :-/ Maybe the snake from my boyfriend, and the tat from my parents. I will get away for free. Ha. I will need another rack soon, as well. How many do you have now?

Jacob, You have to be unemotional checking the boards. That's how I ended up with three. I couldn't help all the babies I was seeing. Ha. That's how it usually happens. That and checking kingsnake ALL the time. I will end up with a few more, in the near future, I don't doubt it. I just need it approved by my boyfriend; and he won't mind as long as I clear out some geckos. He wasn't thrilled with me spending the money, but knew he really didn't have an option since I had the money in my reptile fund. I still live at home, and I was lucky to sneak these guys in. I was told 3 snakes was too many; now I have 6.

I'm going to try to get pictures tonight of them. I'll be in the reptile room cleaning and feeding geckos tonight

Yes, that's where I got her. She's coming in Wednesday. I have 4 snakes right now with one on the way (gtp, hognose, rosy boa, and kenyan sand boa). I told my husband that he'll have to build me a new rack.:) He can't complain too much because I've only used money from my gecko sales so far. Now I'm broke though.:main_rolleyes:

I want a hognose, but I have to figure out if their legal in GA or not. I didn't think they were, but I found something that said they may be legal. In time. Yea, I've been using my reptile fund, but my boyfriend still has words. I told him it's not like I'm using money I earn writing or with my regular job to buy snakes. It's money that would be spent on reptiles either way. My funds are low though.

In my apartment with a roomie.
LOL I just get so excited reading about peoples new sand worms...Possible names are like a dime a dozen with me as I have names for animals that I dont have yet and in reality never will. But who needs reality?!?!? Noodles is one that I was saving for an albino retic that was sold before I could gain the capital needed...so its up for grabs and it fits that they look alike....minus the moving and all.. also, Domino, Oscar, Tobias, Ginger, Sandy, Munchy, Sloth & Chewy were some that i toyed around with. Good luck with the naming and baby projects!!!!
