As some of you know, I am getting into alot of graphic design. I am all self taught so I am confused on my pricing. Let me know what you think of this pricing:

Standard Web Banner- $15
Jumbo Banner - $20
Fauna Icon - $7
Standard Shilouette - $15 (colored how ever they want)
Sticker Design - $10 (had a few people interested in this)
Business Card Design - $20 - Back + Front (Full color both sides) - $25

What do you think? Think that is reasonable for the experience? Here are a few works of mine:

I'd be very very very careful on a standard rate. Make sure you have something to cover you when someone would like an incredible amount of time spent on certain criteria. I mean I know you're young and all and for the most part maybe making a few bucks from forum members here and there... but a standard rate can royally kick you in the butt in the end most of the time. I can easily spend an an hour or more on a 1x4 image. $20 an hour just wouldn't cut it. I understand you're just in it to learn/hobby/gain experience but 10 years ago I wish someone could have given me some quick tips and advice. Try to be more personal and give "estimates." If you want to base pricing off of something maybe start by saying: "Prices starting at $7!" or something along those lines.

Bravo and GL!

I agree, $25 dollars a side is really cheap. I come from a printing and design background and Standardized pricing can kill you. You never know how much time and how much effort is needed to get what the client wants. Something that starts out as a simple design can turn into 3 or 4 revisions countless hours of fixing this or that and if it all started with a preset cost it just causes problems down the line. From my experience most people also like to see a couple of different designs to choose from. Why not put something together where you have a couple of "template type layouts" where you can put in the persons information and make changes to them to fit their wants. You could also offer a full custom card as an alternative and charge accordingly per hour. These are just my opinions, as I owned a print shop and these were options that worked the best for most of my customers.
