I have started to try breeding superworms and I am getting plenty of beatles but they are dying within 1-3 day(s) of becoming beatles.

-They are at 76f
-They are on oatmeal
-They are being fed fresh carrot everyday

Can anyone give me some tips on how to get them to thrive.

Thanks.

I agree, wheat bran for bedding. Also, use potato slices for moisture, and you might want to keep them a little warmer if you can. I had great success with doing it that way. I actually kept my colonies in a rack.

I keep mine on a mix of wheat and oat bran. It's too early to know if they are breeding, but they aren't dying at least.

I use oatmeal bedding (4in deep) and feed carrots and romaine. I also lay two egg crates on top of each other and keep them at 82 degrees.

IMO....dehydration.
"fresh carrot" makes me think there is
not enough to go around.
Here is a good read for you.
Take care. Hj
