I have my "Available" and "Gallery" photos on my website with the Light-Box effect. I just got a new computer, and this effect is not working using IE, but works fine using Firefox. I figure it has something to do with Java scripts or CSS permissions on the IE browser? Any suggestions on how to remedy this?

Thanks!

I have always had problems getting lightbox to work, but all that I use is IE and couldn't figure out what was wrong, either. After reading this, perhaps I will try again! Is Firefox really that much better?

It is working on Firefox, and in my web editor, but not on my computer in IE. I am running IE 7.0, and I have downloaded the latest Java update.

... at least I know it's working for everyone else!

I used Firefox when IE7 first came out because I had issues with IE7 working for alot of websites I was going to. When IE7 got that first update it fixed the probs I had so I switched back to IE7. With Firefox I could never get most of the download plug-ins to work that I liked so I deleted it out of my computer. I tried 3 versions of it and had the same prob. I never really liked NetScape either. Maybe I am a Die-Hard IE person lol

Now with Lightbox, I never heard of it or know what it does. So looking at the mentioned pages I don't see anything different then I used to see. But the pic you click on comes out really nice and the page behind it fades really nice. Maybe that is how LightBox works. I don't know. Did I mention I am using IE7?

John, I am the same, I've never liked Netscape or Firefox and feel like some kind of diehard IE person too!!!

The Light Box is the effect of when you click on a thumbnail image, the large image pops up in a new window that you can customize, etc. :) It's the best effect for picture viewing in my opinion, kingsnake.com is set up with Light Box for veiwing images

It's working fine on my IE.

I'm not a fan of the light box effect. :-\ I like to compare geckos on the same site before I make my decision, and because you can't really pull up separate browsers per gecko, you have to copy/paste the different pictures in photoshop to compare them without having to close one box and open another and back and forth.
