Plenty. You have to have projects in bunches because saying " I plan on working with only Diablo Blancos this year" would be pretty boring......lol.... but seriously, if you are a breeder, you don't have to limit yourself to one or two morphs to "specialize in" nowadays. There are so many great morphs to work with that the more you are interested in, the more fun it is to look in the incubator when they are hatching, because the possibilities are that much more exciting.

I'm currently planning 4 projects for next year. Maybe I'll have good luck, and my breeders will advance to the point that I can go ahead with my plans. If not then I'll wait a little longer. I'm not in a huge hurry.

And on that note, I have a thought and I'm sure I'm not alone in this. I have 4 obvious projects, but do you folks that have experience breeding sit back when you have a few idle minutes and think up other "additional" possibilities? It seems to me like the more I sit around thinking about what I have and the "if I pair this male with this female" scenarios, I come up with lots of other projects I'd maybe like to try. Usually these thoughts lead to me needing "one more leo". :main_laugh: I think it's a lot of fun to just sit back and think about pairings, anyone else?

Cool! So we aren't strange to want to do more than one project! lol! We haven't started breeding yet but we sit and ponder the what ifs as well. Lol. And it ends up with us also needing at least one more Leo. Lol! We have three projects planned for next year! We can't wait to hatch out our first babies! And post pictures of our projects! We love the support you all give for new ideas! Thanks a ton!

I try to have interlocking projects since I'm limited in space. The first project I ever wanted to do was to make a hybino from "scratch" --to start with an albino and a Hynes Super hypo. Well, that was 2 years ago and I'm still working on it thanks to a female who doesn't breed well. I'm hoping for next year. I spend a lot of time thinking about how to pair up my geckos --already have them figured out for next year. I can't wait.

I am trying to keep it to a minimum due to space at the moment, but each day I think of different projects I would like to do. I am holding at only about 6 projects at the moment.

well i will agree that i think about crosses in my down time. the bad part is i think about what i will be doing with my crosses all the time. i cant say how many crosses i will be doing this year :D off the top of my head there is about 30 or so, but i can tell you i'm very lucky to have a list of great males that are going to be doing some work this year.

I only like to work on a limited amount such as 2 or 3 projects because then you can dedicate more geckos and time into that project which may possibly bring better results. I have 2 main projects and 2 very small projects right now.

Lol. Awesome! We are going to start small with just a few projects. Plus, we don't have a huge amount of geckos yet...but we are working on it. ;)
